Inner Pickle – Tournament Terms & Conditions, Liability Waiver & Image Consent

1. Eligibility & Participation

By registering for and/or participating in an Inner Pickle pickleball tournament (“the Event”), you, volunteers, referees, and venue management.

Participants must be 18 years or older. Proof of age may be requested.

2. Assumption of Risk & Personal Responsibility

Pickleball is a physical sport that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, collisions, muscle strains, and impacts with equipment or other participants.
By taking part in the Event, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, or loss you may sustain as a result of participation.

You confirm that:

You are physically fit to participate.

You have no medical conditions that would make participation unsafe.

• You will warm up appropriately and play within your own ability.

3. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, you agree that Inner Pickle, its organisers, volunteers, coaches, venue partners, and representatives are not liable for:

• Personal injury

• Property damage

• Loss of personal belongings

• Any other harm arising from participation in the Event

This waiver does not exclude liability for negligence that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

4. Equipment & Venue Safety

Participants must use the venue and equipment responsibly. Any damage caused through misuse may result in liability for repair or replacement costs.
You agree to follow all safety instructions and report hazards immediately.

5. Code of Conduct

Inner Pickle promotes a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment. By participating, you agree to:

• Treat all players, staff, and spectators with respect

• Refrain from abusive, aggressive, or unsporting behaviour

• Follow fair play principles and tournament rules

Failure to comply may result in removal from the Event without refund.

6. Photography, Video & Marketing Consent

By attending the Event, you grant Inner Pickle permission to:

• Capture photographs and video footage of you during play or within the venue

• Use these images for marketing, social media, promotional materials, and club communications

This consent is royalty‑free, perpetual, and non‑exclusive.

If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, you must notify Inner Pickle before the Event begins, and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your request.

7. Data Protection

Personal information collected for Event registration will be handled in accordance with UK GDPR.

Data will only be used for Event administration, safety, and communication purposes.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Inner Pickle reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Event due to safety concerns, venue issues, or insufficient registrations.

Refund policies will be communicated at the time of registration.

9. Agreement

By registering for or participating in the Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including the Liability Waiver and Image Consent.

10. Fees

Registration Fees paid for the event are refundable at the Tournament’s discretion and only if a suitable replacement can be found.
